Killian and Vinson allowed just five hits through 16.0 innings of work to give Lander (11-4) its first sweep of the Trojans (10-6) since 2013.
The Bearcats broke through in game one in the top of the sixth. Morgan Watson and Sydney Grimes reached on back-to-back errors to open the inning and a Shannon Antonini single loaded the bases with no outs. Brianna Surrenton delivered a sacrifice fly to right field that plated Watson and Kelli McCormack followed with an RBI groundout to bring home Grimes.
Those two runs would be all Lander needed as Vinson (4-2) spun a complete-game three hitter with one walk and two strikeouts. Anderson's Harlie Duncan (6-2) suffered the loss despite allowing just one hit on the night in a complete-game effort.
In game two, neither team would score in regulation, but Lander would manufacture a run in the top of the ninth. With Jamie Pisel on second due to international tiebreaker rules and two outs, Sydney Grimes legged out an infield single to shortstop. Pisel never slowed down and raced home, sliding just ahead of the throw from first base to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead.
Anderson's first two batters in the bottom of the ninth were called out for being outside the batter's box and a pop-up to second base gave Lander the road sweep.
Killian (6-1) limited Anderson to two hits in 9.0 innings while striking out a career-high 14 batters. Kayla Pepper (4-4) allowed one unearned run on eight hits in a losing effort with six strikeouts and three walks in a losing effort.
Lander welcomes Virginia-Wise and Limestone to Greenwood for four games this weekend in the first weekend of the Bearcat Round Robin at Doug Spears Field.
