Men's basketball faces Tusculum on Saturday afternoon

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lander men's basketball team hits the road Saturday as the Bearcats face their final road test of the non-conference slate, taking on Tusculum at 3:00 p.m.

• Lander (1-3) dropped a 73-62 decision to Tusculum (2-3) in Horne Arena on Nov. 14. 

• Saturday's contest will be Lander's fourth game away from home in its last five outings. The Bearcats return home to face Erskine on Wednesday.

• Lander put together its best offensive performance of the season on Tuesday night against Livingstone, scoring 82 points on 45.5 percent shooting. 

Rahu Purdie leads the Bearcats, scoring 16.0 points per game. 

Marquel Wiggins scored a season-high 21 points in the loss at Livingstone on Tuesday.

• The Bearcats have not played a non-conference team twice in the same season since defeating Mars Hill twice in 2012-13. 

• Lander's last trip to Tennessee came on Nov. 19, 2016, when the Bearcats topped King, 87-83.
