• Men’s basketball announces 2019-20 schedule

    GREENWOOD – The Lander men’s basketball team unveils its 2019-20 schedule. The Bearcats will play 28 regular-season games, including 13 home games as Lander looks to return to postseason play in 2019-20. The Bearcats will have an entirely new coaching staff this year led by first-year head coach Drew Richards.

    GREENWOOD – Lander junior defender Kyle Ferguson has been named the recipient of the 2019 USL League Two Young Player of the Year Award and to the All-Southern Conference Team, as announced Thursday by the league office. Ferguson played for the SC United Bantams, a club based out of Columbia, S.C.

    GREENWOOD – Lander men's lacrosse players Quinn Ingalls, Liam Mackay, and Christian Lamb competed in the IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (Aug. 6-11). All three players are a part of Lander's inaugural men's lacrosse recruiting class.

The slate consists of 15 matchups at home, seven games against NCAA tournament teams from last season, and a preseason contest against an in-state Division I program that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season.

The team finished eighth in the Peach Belt Conference last year and secured a berth in the conference tournament before falling to top-seeded Columbus State. The Bearcats will participate in four tournaments throughout the fall season.
