Women's soccer heads to Florida for battle with No. 25 Flagler

St. Augustine, Fla. – After battling to victory in a tightly-contested defensive struggle on Saturday, the Lander women's soccer team (4-1, 1-0 PBC) is set to play in the club's first road conference game against No. 25-ranked Flagler (4-0-1, 0-0-1 PBC) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

STORYLINES:

• Wednesday's match against Lander will mark Flagler's first home game since the threat of Hurricane Irma.

• Forward Logan Lewis recorded the game-winning goal against Clayton State on Saturday as the senior notched her 13th career score with the Bearcats.

• Freshman Sarah Owen was tabbed as the Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday as the Florida native recorded six saves in the shutout win over Clayton State.

• The Saints achieved the team's first national ranking in program history after defeating Catawba 4-0 last week.  

• In last year's game between the two sides, Lander and Flagler clashed for two overtimes before finishing in a 1-1 draw.
