Bearcats place fifth Saturday morning at Koala Classic

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Lander men's cross country team finished in fifth-place at the Koala Classic on Saturday morning, hosted by Columbia College. 

Chase Couch led the Bearcats, finishing 21st in 32:42. Brad Daniels finished two seconds later in 22nd-place. Trent Powers recorded a time of 33:14 for 28th-place. Fergus O'Rourke finished 37th with a time of 35:49. Zach Hiott and Evin Fortenberry finished 41st and 42nd with times of 36:35 and 37:02, respectively. McKenna Burrows placed 44th with a time of 37:17. 

Samonzy Wiggins placed 48th, clocking a time of 38:21. Joshua Chapman's time of 38:44 earned him a 51st-place finish and Aidan Kramer placed 63rd with a time of 42:27. 

Lander will run at the Bobcat Invitational on Oct. 20.
