No. 10 Lander faces non-conference foe Queens on the road Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 10th-ranked Lander men's soccer team steps out of Peach Belt Conference play with road match against Queens on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

STORYLINES:

• Lander (6-0) has shut out each of its last three opponents. 

Jacob Withers made his debut in goal for Lander on Saturday against Francis Marion, making one save in 90:00 in a shutout win. 

Jamie North and Jordan Skelton were named the PBC Player and Defender of the Week, respectively. North tallied three goals and an assist against Shaw, while Skelton netted the game-winner against Francis Marion. 

• The Bearcats are averaging 19.3 shots per match, led by North's 15 attempts this season. 

• Queens (5-1) has won its last four matches and is coming off an 8-2 win over Catawba, its highest scoring output in 14 years. 

• Lander is playing its fourth road match in its last five contests. 

• Wednesday night is Lander's first "Bearcats On The Road" event of the fall. An alumni social will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Queens Sports Complex at Marion Diehl Park.
