"Bike for Kicks" charity event set for Sept. 27

BIKE FOR KICKS is the second annual bicycle tour benefitting the Greenwood YMCA "Annual Campaign" and the Lander University Men's Soccer Scholarship Program. The event includes bicycle routes of 6, 30 miles and a Metric Century (62.5 miles) through Greenwood County South Carolina and the surrounding areas. The ride will occur Rain or Shine on a flat to rolling hills course. Mark your calendar and enjoy a fun bicycling event starting from the Lander University Jeff May Athletic Complex in Greenwood, SC. Each pre-registration includes one chance to win a Raleigh cruiser bicycle, Gran Fondo Hincapie 2014 event registration, or a Genesis 32-inch cruiser bicycle. (See rules below):

COURSE: ride through scenic roads of Greenwood County. Rain or shine. Flat to rolling hills. Routes include 6, 30, & 62.5 miles (metric century). Includes rest stop and sag support.

PRE-REGISTRATION ENTRY FEES: $35 (includes below)

  • Event T-Shirt. (first 150 registrations. Register before 9/1/2014 to guarantee correct size. Best effort after 9/1/2014 will be made).
  • One chance to win GRAN FONDO Greenville 2014 event registration, Raleigh Cruiser Bicycle, or Genesis 32-inch cruiser bicycle. (Pre-registration deadline to qualify: (Active.com by 9/24/14, Mail In postmarked by 9/20/14).
