Lander soccer hosts Youth Soccer Night Wednesday

GREENWOOD - The Lander men's and women's soccer programs will be holding a Youth Soccer Night this Wednesday in conjunction with a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at the Jeff May Complex.

The Lady Bearcats will host Georgia College at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men's game against Francis Marion at approximately 7 p.m.

Lander is participating in Youth Soccer Month, which is designed to:

• raise awareness of youth soccer and the benefits of playing the game
• emphasize soccer as the number one youth participation sport in America and a leading contributor to the healthy lifestyle of millions of American families
• bring kids and familes of all ages and all abilities together for fun, friendship and fitness
• and highlight the various programs available to children interested in participating in soccer, including inner-city, special needs, recreational and elite soccer programs.
