Bearcats In The Pros: McCullough extends streak, another win for Jones

GREENWOOD – The professional baseball season is under way for four former Bearcats. Lander has three players in Class A and one in Class AA. 

Will Jones -- P, Staten Island Yankees (A-Short - New York Yankees)
Season: 3-0, 0.92 ERA, 11 G, 0 SV, 19.2 IP, 17 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 12 K
Jones tossed 5.0 shutout innings of relief over two games, striking out three batters in 2.0 innings in a win over Connecticut last Sunday and earning his third win of the season on Saturday with 3.0 innings of two-hit ball against Mahoning Valley. 

Colby Lusignan -- 1B, Jupiter Hammerheads (A-Advanced - Miami Marlins) 
Season: 109 G, 59 R, 112 H, 30 2B, 3 3B, 14 HR, 68 RBI, 3 SB, .272 AVG
Lusignan pounded out four hits, including three doubles, in a win over Charlotte on Tuesday and knocked a game-tying single with two outs in the ninth inning of Jupiter's extra-inning victory over Florida on Saturday.

Mason McCullough -- P, Jackson Generals (AA - Arizona Diamondbacks) 
Season: 4-0, 1.94 ERA, 43 G, 4 SV, 51.0 IP, 25 H, 11 R, 11 ER, 32 BB, 83 K
McCullough ran his streak of scoreless appearances to five in a row with one inning of relief in a win over Chattanooga on Tuesday and three strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work in a loss to Montgomery on Saturday. 

Brandon White -- P, Florida Fire Frogs (A-Advanced - Atlanta Braves) 
Season: 2-1, 2.31 ERA, 31 G, 10 SV, 50.2 IP, 45 H, 18 R, 13 ER, 14 BB, 47 K
White tossed two scoreless innings in a loss to St. Lucie last Monday. Opponents are hitting just .214 against him in the Florida State League.
