Bearcats In The Pros: LU pitchers dominating at next level

GREENWOOD  The professional baseball season is under way for four former Bearcats. Lander has three players in Class A and one in Class AA. 

Will Jones -- P, Staten Island Yankees (A-Short - New York Yankees)
Season: 2-0, 1.69 ERA, 6 G, 0 SV, 10.2 IP, 11 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K
Jones earned his second win in as many appearances on Monday, tossing a career-high 3.0 innings in Staten Island's win over Brooklyn. The former Bearcat has not allowed an earned run in his last three outings. 

Colby Lusignan -- 1B, Jupiter Hammerheads (A-Advanced - Miami Marlins) 
Season: 88 G, 47 R, 80 H, 21 2B, 3 3B, 9 HR, 49 RBI, 2 SB, .240 AVG
Lusignan's week was highlighted by a 2-for-4 effort in a loss to St. Lucie on Wednesday. In the game, Lusignan and Tim Tebow were the only players to record multiple hits. 

Mason McCullough -- P, Jackson Generals (AA - Arizona Diamondbacks) 
Season: 3-0, 1.87 ERA, 36 G, 4 SV, 43.1 IP, 22 H, 9 R, 9 ER, 24 BB, 73 K
McCullough's scoreless innings streak ended last Sunday at 22.0, but the former fifth-rounder followed with two shutout appearances out of the bullpen for Jackson. After 10 appearances with the Generals, McCullough sports a 0.96 ERA in Double-A ball. 

Brandon White -- P, Florida Fire Frogs (A-Advanced - Atlanta Braves) 
Season: 2-0, 1.81 ERA, 27 G, 10 SV, 44.2 IP, 38 H, 14 R, 9 ER, 10 BB, 42 K
White tied a career-high with 3.0 scoreless innings of relief in Florida's win over St. Lucie on Saturday. Lander's all-time saves leader allowed just one hit in extra innings, holding the Mets off the board in the 12th, 13th and 14th innings.
