    GREENWOOD – The Lander women's golf team has signed its first recruiting class since being reinstated last August, as head coach Mark Riddle has brought in 10 players for the 2018-19 season. The Bearcats will be playing for the first time since the fall of 2015.

  • Lander Athletics to add men's and women's lacrosse

    GREENWOOD – Lander University will add men's and women's lacrosse to its NCAA Division II varsity sports offerings, athletics director Brian Reese announced Tuesday. Both teams will begin competition in the spring of 2020.

Former softball standout Brantley Mack and former men's tennis national champion and current head coach Brett Simpson will be inducted on May 29, 2018, at the PBC Awards Dinner in Hilton Head, S.C.

    PALATKA, Fla. – The eighth-seeded Lander baseball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday as the Bearcats dropped contests against fifth-seeded North Georgia and No. 17-ranked and fourth-seeded UNC Pembroke in pool play at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament at St. John's River State College.

  • Lander prepares for pool play at the PBC Tournament

    ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The eighth-seeded Lander baseball team (16-32, 9-21 PBC) faces three opponents in pool play this weekend at the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. The Bearcats face top-seeded Georgia College (39-10, 26-4 PBC) on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Drysdale Field at Flagler. On Saturday, Lander plays fifth-seeded North Georgia (30-20, 17-13 PBC) at 10:00 a.m. and fourth-seeded UNC Pembroke (36-12, 17-12 PBC) at 1:30 p.m. Both Saturday games will be played at St. John's River State College.

Division II finalists for the award will be named May 17. Nicklaus Award recipients will be announced May 31 with the honor presented by Jack Nicklaus at a ceremony during the final round of the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
