GREENWOOD – Lander's' men's and women's tennis programs both earned team and individual academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for the 2017-18 campaign.
Both programs garnered ITA All-Academic Team honors by achieving the required 3.20 team GPA, while 12 student-athletes met the 3.50 GPA benchmark to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
On the men's side, the Bearcats landed nine student-athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list, the second-most in all of Division II. Gabriel Balestero, Axel Cronje, Eirik Groner, David Korsten, Fergus O'Rourke, Alexnder Regner, Liam Roos, Tommaso Rossin, and Luis Salcedo were each honored for Lander. Only Drury and Tusculum, with 10 honorees, had more than the Bearcats.
Manasi Ramadani and Caroline Yodice both gained ITA Scholar-Athlete status for the women's program as Lander was recognized as one of four All-Academic teams in the Peach Belt Conference.
