11/4/2009Beetch selected as PBC Goalkeeper of the Week
GREENWOOD - Chelsea Beetch, a sophomore on the Lander women's soccer team, was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for matches played Oct. 26-31 the league office announced late Tuesday. Last week Beetch, a native of Palmer, Alaska, recorded her fourth shutout of the season as the Lady Bearcats defeated Clayton State, 4-0. Beetch notched six saves against the Lady Lakers as Lander tied the school record for shutouts in a season with eight. Beetch tied for second in shutouts in the PBC, is third in save percentage and fourth in goals against average. |
